We recently returned from Seattle and I really enjoyed myself. This is what changed my perspective:
- Walking busy city streets

- Police on horses
- Shopping
- Hole in the wall eateries

- Relaxing in the hotel with my family
- Kind hotel employees
- Garmin GPS

- Riding the fairy to an island
- A nice couple with their baby at Jimmy Johns

- Pikes Market

- Walking the busy market

- Performers outside the 1st Starbucks
- A cute deaf family at the car rental place
- A row of old men smoking on the street
- Patient husband (while I shopped)
- A whole package of Oreos

- The Space Needle (mostly the gift shop)
- Hot pink hair and too many tatoos (none on us!)
- Valet Parking

- Walking busy city streets
It was a very fun time. Thanks to Mitch for all of his amazing planning and for agreeing to go city this time rather than tropical!

I had to be converted as well. It must be normal for us frugal people. Marlene was patient with me for about 4 years and then just said, "Stop ruining our vacations. We are going to be spending money on vacations so get over it." Since getting over it, I have enjoyed vacationing a lot more, in fact I even like it now.
